Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) from six countries which include Bahrain, Hongkong, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Russia, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States of America were present during the Co-op Conversation: Featuring Fairchild Cebu Community Multi-Purpose Cooperative (FCCMPC) on September 7, 2024 via Zoom.
Fairchild Cebu Community MPC is one of the NATCCO Diaspora partners from the Visayas region with 8,484 members and a total asset of P2.83 Billion as of 2023. The session featured Rudolph “Tad” Montayre, COO of Fairchild Cebu Community MPC, who shared valuable insights into the current achievements of Fairchild MPC and its impact on the community particularly in the province of Cebu. He highlighted the strong financial performance of the co-op in providing excellent services and products with double-digit dividend rates for the past three years, underscoring its commitment to tangible benefits for its members. Furthermore, FCCMPC prioritizes providing financial education by holding regular financial literacy workshops to equip the knowledge of their members in handling their finances effectively. In addition, the co-op also addresses the housing needs of its members, with several housing projects across Cebu City that provide well-structured, reasonably-priced housing communities for the members. Fairchild MPC also takes pride in being an ISO-certified cooperative, exhibiting its maintenance to the highest standards of operation and service to its members.
Overall, the forum indicated the strength and reliability of cooperatives such as Fairchild MPC as a testimony of being a trusted partner for OFWs seeking financial growth and social impact.
