I learned that the cooperative is one way of investing, and is also one way of earning passive income that’s why I decided to become a member. I also put my trust in it because my former LSE teacher, Mr. Ed Valenzuela, recommended it. As a coop member, I feel confident that there is hope in the future, and I am eager to contribute more. The money I am investing in this cooperative is safe, and I consider it passive income because my money is working for me. It gains interest as years pass by. Although, at the moment I do not have future plans yet regarding my investments, I just want to save.

It was during the visit of NATCCO-LSE here in Milan Italy that my eyes were opened regarding cooperatives, although I already knew about it back in the Philippines. After hearing the very good points about cooperatives, I approached Ms. Tina Liamzon, my Professor in The Ateneo School of Government, [and informed her] that I’m interested in joining the cooperative. She advised me that it’s better for me to join the NEC Multi-purpose Cooperative. True indeed her recommendation was also the assigned cooperative as per checking. Being a new member, I try to get as much information as I can be by reading about cooperatives. I would like to personally invite all my kababayan, especially OFW’s like me to invest in Cooperatives.

I decided to become a member to be a part of the Coop and to invest. I’ve been a member for just few months, and I’ve seen [how they] process documents even though I’m so far. We communicate only by text or emails it went very well, and fast. I would like my relatives and friends also to know about cooperatives, and also become a member. I want to grow my investment and be a member for long term. The Cooperative will help me achieve this as long as it doesn’t close, and members will stay loyal.
